Dear ones. All of us had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our
family. How nice it was of KAREN and JACK to work hard to make
all of us feel at home and enjoy the time we had together. The
Turkey was delicious (JACK worked so hard, and was in and out - on
the deck to check how it was "cooking" through out the night ---
thanks to JACK --- it was wonderful --- we even had two Turkeys --
all the rest of the food was delicious. Guess deviled eggs made me
feel really good since they were enjoyed --- I guess you know that I
do very little cooking since GREG enjoys doing it --- lucky me!
GREG's and SHAWN's favorite Italian cake pleased them ---so did all
of us. The Cow Tail candy is one of my weakness --- hope all of
you got some. Wasn't it fantastic to hear GARRETT's voice on the
telephone --- It completed our family thoughts of him, also we pray
for him daily!!! I know GARRETT will be thrilled when his huge box
arrives that we put together just for him, and mailed by AUNT KAREN
(hope she sent him one of her precious books that she took the time
and love for each of us --- thanks so much KAREN. It will always
mean so much to each of us ---"each one of us love YOU too." How
wonderful it was to see WHITNEY, RICHARD and DESTINY's new home ---
it is just lovely and 'SOMEONE" must have worked and worked to get it
in such a short week. RICHARD, all of us missed you on Friday and
were so worry that you were called in to work, somehow that was just
not fair and you had to miss all that delicious food --- but think
miss Whitney will save you some. Your young baby, DESTINY, is just
so precious and so sharp and
entertained each of us every minute --- she is so talented and had
such fun and her talking is coming on fast --- what a perfectly
beautiful little girl and all of us just adore her. SHAWN, you
brought a lovely friend for us to meet, hope she doesn't think was
silly. AUNT SHERRY and JOHN thanks for reading about your new
home at Smith Mountain Lake. Imagine all three all of my children
deciding to have homes near each other (and closer to GREG and me) is
surely a gift from GOD. ( Won't all of you have fun, just the way
you wish it and have such fun getting get it all together before not
too many moons.) SHERRY, I am still laughing about your idea
white marsh mallows for your children at school. What a unique
idea --- but you have always been doing things for your students .
I think JOHN and GREG finally got to speak (since we women do it so
often) --- but I think they had a great time. UNCLE MIKE and AUNT
LISA always take care to make you children happy (and the
elders). The three girls - SHERRY, KAREN AND LISA worked their
puzzles --- one received a candy dish, one a Happy Christmas animal
toy -- singing and walking, then one got the $5 bill. Hope you had
fun!!! Of course the fun begins when MIKE decides to tell funny
stories. MIKE, I know It is great to have your beautiful darling
KATIE with you --- especially when your son is so far away. Guess
the games we played with wrapped games never come out the was we hope
--- but it is still fun!!! TONY helped us enjoy being together
and we are gonna watch his going moving up to college ---
yea!!! Nice of you to bring your lovely lady and introduced
her to your family and Raleigh --- Of course, JACK's,
beautiful JENNIFER and adorable JACKSON makes the party fun. How
very much the love we share is so important. Who in this whole
world cares any of us any more than the ones we adore. God surely
made some good thoughts when each and one of us were loved and sent
to each other to enjoy our lives and understand how much LOVE is to
each of us. Thanks for the memories. We are back in Blacksburg
--- the newspaper writes lots about our win with UVA. Yea. Gotta
put things away and get ready for bed. Have a wonderful Christmas
and know how much I love each and every one of you and so proud each
of you. Grandmommy
